I do believe it was Oscar worthy. In fact, I think it should've won. This of course reflects my own biases towards certain film scoring tendencies - namely that of the big, old-fashioned orchestral score. So there. I've corrected the record.

Biased? Maybe. But you'd think that bias would be shared by the Oscar Powers That Be. You'd think those whose egos are rooted in the history of film would show deference to the old ways.
