Cards Win! Cards Win!
Being the devout baseball man that I am (a man has to get his religion somewhere) I just thought that I'd throw that out there.
I believe I requested a Cardinals/Tigers World Series?
I am very excited about this. My sister called me last night after the game to tell me about it, since I hadn't been in the loop. I shall make it a point to watch the series this week... I think I can get FOX if I plug in the rabbit ears. I hope this doesn't get in the way of our Steve Reich trip Wednesday.
After the disappointment of last year, I still felt pretty optimistic about this year.
I have something of a personal stake in the outcome of this world series. In addition to being a Cards fan... I f#$%ing hate Detroit and everything about it. I hate the pompous pro-detroit attitude some classmates of mine had at BG (yeah, we get it... indie rock scene... congratulations). I resented having to drive through that stinking, ugly, crime-ridden embarrassment of an American city any time I needed to cross the Canadian border. I hate Detroit...
...this is going to be an awesome World Series! It's tiger season, bitches!!
Wow, am i torn on this series. I grew up on the "Cards" side of the state and am a fan of both the Royals and Cards (Royals more so). However, I kind of want to root for Detroit since they are in the AL Central and my "boys in blue" swept them in their final regular season series.
Decisions, decisions. I think I'll just root for a good series with no controversy...oh wait...is that pine tar I smell? Well, there goes that.
I LOVE BASEBALL!!!! Go Cards, Pujols, Edmonds, and Rolen are studs and it would be great to see them win.
