Actually there are two theremins in The Day the Earth Stood Still; one high, one low.

Pretty sure there's something like a theremin or ondes martenot in Mars Attacks!, too. It might be a sampler. I don't know. Really I'm just making this up as I go along.

Sounds more like a sampled Theremin in Mars Attacks!. BTW, did you see Dr. Ehle's Theremins in his office while you were there? Wish I'd had a chance to use one for something while I was out there...
